Keith Matthew Miller was born August 6, 2017 to Paige (Thomason) and Dillon Miller in Flower Mound, Texas. He passed from this life on June 29, 2026, surrounded by his beloved family.

His first year of life was spent in and out of hospitals, and he was diagnosed with Pulmonary Hypertension. His first birthday party was a joyous celebration of “The Boy Who Lived.” Matthew defied all odds and continued growing and thriving into a happy toddler. The child we weren’t sure would live, was able to start school in Pre-K.

Matthew was a student of Oak Hall Episcopal School from 4 years old through 3rd grade. He loved his classmates, teachers, support staff and administrators. He excelled in academics, was quick with a joke, and loved reading. His best friends, field trips, and memories all happened because he attended Oak Hall. He especially loved library time, music class, and planning the trunk or treat theme and family costumes. He enjoyed learning about God and had a great relationship with Father Bryan Callen through chapel and Christian Education class. There was no doubt he believed in God and tried to live his life as Jesus taught. Matthew’s special soul could never understand why people did mean things or hurt others.

Matthew lived a life of service and took joy in helping others. He would pick up litter on all his neighborhood walks and play time at the parks. He painted several fire hydrants and helped with the Scarecrow Stroll with Create Ardmore. He volunteered as an usher for years at Ardmore Little Theatre, and was very excited when he was old enough to start acting on the stage himself. He performed in The Wizard of Oz, two years of Shakespeare in the Park, and several summer shows at The Brass Ring. His lasting legacy will be his perfect performance as Tiny Tim in A Christmas Carol with Spotlight Playhouse. He truly embodied the character as one who can stay joyful even in the worst of circumstances, and he reflected the message of giving, family, and inextinguishable positivity.

In addition to theatre, Matthew loved art of all kinds. He drew and painted, and loved trying ceramics and other styles at art camps through HFV Wilson Community Center and The Goddard Center. He drew countless pieces for friends, doctors, nurses and strangers to bring a smile to their faces throughout the years. His most recent artistic passion was learning the piano. He had lessons for a year and recently performed in his first recital. His talent and joy was evident to anyone who had the privilege of seeing him play.

Matthew had a passion for life with many other hobbies such as baking with his mom, building models and trains with his dad, cub scouts, and of course all things space and monster trucks. His enthusiasm will be remembered and sorely missed by his family, friends and the entire community. It is a testament to his kind heart and happy soul to be honored and remembered by so many on this earth.

Matthew was preceded in death by his grandfather Keith Thomason, Uncle Nathan Fansler, Great Aunt Linda Agnew, PawPaw Frank Orebaugh and numerous great grandparents, friends, family and loved ones that met him in Heaven.

He is survived by his parents Dillon and Paige Miller; sister Jo Miller; grandparents Steve and Debbie Miller, and Karen Thomason and Jeff Fansler; along with numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and chosen family.

A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Friday, July 10th at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church with Pastor Artie Farve and Dr. Ken Willy officiating. Visitation will be Thursday evening from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home. The family will also be attending St. Philip’s Episcopal Church on Sunday July 12th at 10:30 AM to further celebrate Matthew’s life, and dedicate his sister Jo to the church.

The family requests that Oak Hall students wear their chapel uniforms. Everyone else is encouraged to wear yellow or bright colors and anything that makes you happy.
