Simon
Apr 7, 1993 — Oct 6, 2024
Kirstine (Kirstie) Leigh Simon, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend passed away on October 6, 2024, in Ardmore, OK.
Born April 7, 1993, in Burlington, Iowa to Gail Kirstine Oehler and Gordon Martin Currier, the family relocated to Ardmore, Oklahoma when Kirstie was just six months old.
Kirstie attended Plainview Public Schools from Kindergarten through second grade. After a three year move to Dripping Springs, Texas, the family returned to Ardmore where Kirstie finished her schooling at Plainview, graduating in 2011. Kirstie was a vibrant spirit who embraced life to the fullest through her many passions. She was actively involved in Broadway Kids, voice lessons, choir, cheerleading, track, and cross country, all while excelling in her school studies. These activities not only enriched her life but followed her to building lasting friendships and created cherished memories.
Following high school graduation, Kirstie entered the University of Oklahoma, where she was a member of Alpha Phi, and participated in the spirited tradition of Sooner Scandals. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and began studying for the LSAT to enter Law School. Kirstie graduated from Oklahoma City University of Law in 2020, passing the bar, and obtaining her first job with Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, Inc. She found her passion in family law and opened her private practice, Simon Law Firm in 2023.
Kirstie married the love of her life, Patrick Simon on October 3, 2021. Together they built a wonderful life and had two sons, Shephard Patrick Simon, age 4 and Sam Fletcher Simon, age seven weeks.
Kirstie's most rewarding part of life was her deep love for her family who brought her immeasurable joy and happiness. Whether it was feeding the animals at the farm or watching Patrick coach Shep's sports teams, Kirstie was their biggest fan! Nothing was more fulfilling to Kirstie than her love for her husband, family, and friends.
Kirstie's ability to bring humor to any situation brightened the lives of those around her with her quick wit and sharp insight. Her kindness and hospitality were unmatched as the Simon household was often the place to gather on any given day.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Patrick Tanner Simon, sons, Shephard Simon, Fletcher Simon, parents Gail Oehler and Marty Currier, her dear sister Cameron Pate and husband Alan Pate as well as father-in-law Buddy Simon, his partner Kinga Vasquez Laskowska and her daughter Kaya, sister-in-law Megan Bobakova and husband Valer, nieces and nephews Harlow, Cooper, Maxim, and Anika as well as special friends Caren Braunagel, Sam Waters, and Mark Wood, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and numerous colleagues and friends.
