Graveside services for Lorene Alford will be Saturday, November 20, 2021, 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Kirk Blancett officiating.  Visitation time for family and friends will be Friday evening from 6-7 PM at Craddock Funeral Home. Lorene was born July 26, 1924 in Sulphur, Oklahoma  to William Avery Vanzant and Carby Lee (Copeland) Vanzant. She passed from this life on November 16, 2021 at her home in Dickson at the age of 97. She was a lifelong resident of this area. Sewing was Lorene's passion. She also enjoyed gardening, tending to her plants and canning.

Lorene was preceded in death by her parents William Avery and Carby Lee Vanzant, her husband Marion "ML" Alford and several siblings. She is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Sands (Johnny) of Dickson, Mary Reeves of Dickson; sons, Robbie Alford (Linda) of Tecumseh, OK., Jerry Alford of Dickson; sister, Evonne McVeigh of Okemah, OK.; grandchildren Johnny Sands II (Heather) of Dickson, Robbie Lynn (Hennigh) of Choctaw, OK., Melissa Carol Ozburn (Glenn) of Katy, Texas; great grandchildren Johnny Ray Sands III, Luwinda Rain Sue Sands, Jedehiah Wayne Sands, Presley Elaine Sands, Rebecca Lynn Reeves, Lacey Nichole Reeves, Trevor Hennigh, Zack Hennigh, Alicia Hennigh, Rayelyn Hennigh and numerous other relatives and friends.
