A memorial service for Lou Ann Tipps is scheduled for Saturday at 11:00 am at the First Baptist Church in Ardmore with Coach Milton Cooper and Dr. Casey Shutt officiating. The family will host a visitation on Friday evening from 6:00 to 7:00 at the Craddock Funeral Home.
Lou Ann was born Feb. 2, 1949 in Shawnee, Ok to Bill and Mattie (Hill) Ellis. She passed this life on July 3, 2018 in an Ardmore Hospital.
She married Ronnie Tipps on October 10, 1969 in Ardmore. She was the daughter of a Baptist minister. So, they always said God brought them together because she understood that Minister and Coaches might have to move several times in their careers. She had previously worked as a School Secretary.
Lou Ann was a published writer of poetry. She wrote about everything from her loving God, her love of family, to her dealing with an amputation. She was a selfless, loving and caring Mother and wife. She made everyone around her feel good.
She is survived by her husband, Ronnie of the home; two sons, Chad Tipps of Ardmore, Rod Tipps and his wife Wynette of Sivells Bend, TX; two sisters, Suzann Wilson and her husband Jerry of Olatha, Ks and Sheryl Shutt and her husband Gary of Edmond, OK; grandchildren, Lauren, Alexandra, Gavin and Sloane Tipps.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Chad Tipps, Rod Tipps, Casey Shutt, Tristan Shutt and Mike and John Tipps.
