Martha Roberta (Hunter) Muncrief was born June 20, 1927 to Anna Maude Bradley and Virn Henry Ferguson in Iowa Park, TX. She passed from this life on August 7, 2018 at the age of 91.
At the age of 10 Martha was adopted by Warren Augustus and Minnie Lee Hunter. On August 8, 1941 she married Oscar Camp. From this marriage they had 3 children, Diane, Josie, and William. She married her second husband Arnold Muncrief on July 20, 1964. Martha spent most of her career in food service at the Oklahoma Veterans Center. In her free time she enjoyed gardening, reading, and genealogy. Martha absolutely loved researching her genealogy and took several trips across the country to find out more about her ancestry. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Minnie Hunter; husbands Oscar Camp and Arnold Muncrief; brother Doyle Ferguson; sister Ella Lou Miller; half sister Marie Cottrell; step-brothers Bobby Gene Reed and Billy Reed; step-daughter Stella Postoak; and granddaughter Alicia Joy Pokladnik; and step-granddaughter Alicia Joy Pokladnk.
She is survived by her daughters Diane Russell and Josie Sampley and her husband Walter both of Ardmore; son William Camp of Ardmore; sister Ann Minor of Henderson, TX; brother Jack Bell of Alba, TX; half-sisters Peggy Monk of Dallas, TX and Lois Mae Wakefield of Texas; step-sister Mary Ruth Hill and her husband Billy of Minola, TX; step-brother Johnny Reed of Alba, TX; adopted sister Christabell Burnside; step-sons Bill Muncrief and his wife Von Dean of Abilene, TX, Earl Muncrief and his wife Jean of Elk City, OK, Arnold Muncrief and his wife Betty of Norman, and Eddie Muncrief and his wife Pam of Ardmore; grandchildren Chris Sampley, Jason Sampley, and Dale Camp; 6 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and step-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, August 10th at 10:00 a.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Rev. Dean Ferguson officiating. Interment will follow at Rosehill Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.
Lory Postoak, Randy Postoak, Rick Muncrief, Rob Muncrief, and Kevin Muncrief will serve as pallbearers.
