A time of remembrance for Mary Frances "Fran" Cain will be Tuesday September 5, 2023, from 6-8 pm at Craddock Funeral Home.  No services will be held as her wish was to be cremated.

Fran was born Wednesday December 6, 1939, in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Jasper Buford and Nellie Fern (Wolfe) Holder and she died Wednesday August 30, 2023, in Ardmore, Oklahoma at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 24 days.

Fran grew up in Love County but graduated from Dickson High School.  She loved to cook, bake, and cherished making Sunday dinners for her family.  She enjoyed gardening and watching birds.  Her favorite bird was the Hummingbird, and she would spend countless hours tending to their feeders and watching the many birds that they attracted. She married Charles Allison and settled in Ardmore where she worked for Samedan and raised her two boys.  She later married James Dell Cain and remained a homemaker for the rest of her life.

She is preceded in death by her parents and a son, Charles Eric Allison.  She is survived by her son Michael Travis Allison and his wife Ginger of Ardmore, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Charles Eric Allison Jr. of Moore, Oklahoma, Samantha Jo Allison of Moore, Oklahoma, Travis Lee Allison and his wife Amy of Frisco, Texas, Cody Joe Allison of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Riley Mae Styers of Ardmore, Oklahoma; great grandchildren, Baleigh Harless Allison, Jordyn Allison, Brock Mitchell Allison; sister, Rita Carol West of Ardmore, Oklahoma; brother, William Clinton Holder of Norman, Oklahoma; nephew, Christian Van West and his wife Leeanne of Yukon, Oklahoma; niece, Brittinie Schreise Nowlin and her husband Randy of Denison, Texas; great nephews and nieces, Brice Christian West and his wife Lindsay of Edmond, Oklahoma, Connor Wayne Nowlin of Denison, Texas, Luke Artie Nowlin of Denison, Texas; the father of her children, Charles Lee Allison and many other beloved family members.
