Obituary

Mary Sue Howard was born December 17, 1934, to Myrtle Olivia (Gist) and Joe B. Harris in Provence, OK. On December 26, 2021, she passed from this life at home surrounded by her loving family.
Sue graduated from Dickson High School.

Soon out of high school, she married Keith Jacobs on July 5, 1952, and they were blessed with two daughters, Glenna and Dianne. Living in Louisiana and San Diego, CA.

Sue later married Melvin L. Wright on July 12, 1958, in San Bernardino, CA. Together they were blessed with four children, Sharon, Mike, Sheila, and Martin, making homes in the San Diego CA area, Las Vegas, NV, Ardmore, OK, and Cushing, OK. Sue was widowed in December of 1973 and then returned to Ardmore, OK, to raise her children with the help of her loving family.

Sue again found love and married her "old-flame" from her high school days, Sidney L. Howard on June 22, 1979, in Gainesville, TX. Newly-wed they lived a short while in Ardmore before moving to De Ridder, LA, in the early 1980s.

Sue had several paying jobs on top of being a loving wife and mother...she made use of her lightning-fast impeccable typing skills as a secretary at the Salvation Army in San Diego, CA. Later she learned how to "stick" people to draw their blood alongside her husband in the Cushing Municipal Hospital in Cushing, Ok. In 1974, once being widowed, she was employed as an Office Manager of Physicians Laboratory in Ardmore, OK. After remarrying and moving to De Ridder, LA, she and her new husband opened their own successful ceramic shop, "Kountry Ceramics and Krafts," where her customers became her second family. Sue was sadly widowed again and forced to retire her beloved business due to her health, at which time she gladly became our loving "Pass-Around Granny" to her many, many grandchildren, whom she loved dearly. Due to her failing health and mobility, Sue spent the last "umteen" (one of her favorite words) years living with her lovingly devoted daughter Sheila Westfall in Bedford, TX, where she was pampered like the queen she was.

Sue was a devoted Dallas Cowboy, Dallas Maverick, and Texas Ranger Baseball fan. She enjoyed several hobbies during her life. She loved sewing and was an excellent seamstress, a determined DIY'er, and she would "antique" anything, spent hours gardening and crocheting beautiful gifts for her family. Sue was also a favorite "band-mom" and "den-mother" and led a very active and charitable life in her community.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Myrtle Harris, her husbands, Keith Jacobs, Melvin Wright, and Sidney Howard, her brothers Bennie Harris, Harold "Scooter" Harris, and Hubert Harris. 2 sisters-in-law, Carolyn Harris and Louise Harris, two grandsons, Dane Wright, and Bryson Myers,  a niece, Norma Jean Harris, two nephews, Harold "Ray" Harris, and Michael Harris.

Sue is survived by her daughters, Glenna Blackman and husband, Dave of Chino Valley, AZ, Dianne Jacobs of Olympia, WA, Sharon Schreiner and husband, Mark of Benbrook, TX, Sheila Westfall and husband, Bob of Bedford, TX, Mary Jacobs and husband, David of Marietta, OK; sons, Michael "Mike" Wright of Modesto and Martin "Marty" Wright and wife, Ava of Richmond, KY, Conan "Sonny" Howard and wife, Rebecca of Weatherford, TX, Amon "Butch" Howard of Weatherford, TX; sister-in-law, Geraldine Harris of Ardmore; grandchildren, Kristen Silberberg of Fort Collins, Co, Casi Dymond, Carly Dymond, JD Dymond of Olympia, WA, Christopher Olson and wife, Christina of Twain Harte, CA,  Brandon Myers and wife, Kimry of Keller, TX, Sarah Schreiner and partner, Trey Hayes of Corinth, TX, Mark Schreiner, Jr. of Benbrook, TX, Tara Kirkley and husband, Roy of Fort Worth, TX, Trent Compton and wife, Chelsea of Lakewood Ranch, FL, Steven Westfall of Arlington, Tx, Kirsten Wright of Richmond, KY, Jason Jacobs and wife, Tracey of Marietta, OK, Kyler Jacobs and wife, Pricilla of Marietta, OK; great grandchildren, Hannah Blank, Austin Blank, Christopher Olson, Jr., Chase Olson, Chandler Ramey, Collin Myers, Clayton Myers, Allison Kirkley, Sheila Kirkley, Savannah Kirkley, Hendrix Earls, Dominic Kirkley, Hannah Compton, Natalie Compton, Andrew Jacobs, Parker Jacobs, and many, many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
