Nicholas Taylor Morgan, age 40, died on December 23, 2021 in Ardmore, Ok. Nick was born on 9/9/81 making him a special and unique "Square Root" baby.  And just as unique was Nick's kind spirit and special heart.  From day one, his heart was as big as his eyes were blue and he had a mission to make others feel that big heart.  Just ask the 3 kittens he "saved" as a toddler, when he thoughtfully placed them in the freezer on a blazing hot summer day.  Luckily with his giant smile that we all knew, he happily shared the news with mom, Cindy, who managed to quickly save the kittens and teach Nick his first lesson on oxygen and started her lifelong journey of showing him how to express his love.

Nick grew up on a small family acreage in Sapulpa, OK where dad, James, taught him how to hunt and fish.  He spent time playing all kinds of sports with brothers, Darin and Jeremy.  Darin introduced his FAMOUS wiffleball rules while Jeremy introduced a wicked curveball that would ignite Nick's passion for baseball. They created quite a slugger!  Nick never met a stranger and could always make a friend wherever he traveled.  He moved to Denver in elementary school and picked up right where he left off, making new friends and playing sports. He went to high school at Denver Christian where he excelled in baseball and football and had an inseparable group of friends.

Nick continued to grow into that heart.  After high school, 6'3", 250-pound Nick headed off to the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond where he made close study in being the life of the party. He mastered this degree and minored in making people laugh.  He joined a fraternity and continued to make friends and share his heart with everyone he met. If you knew Nick, he probably moved your couch or bed or dresser at least once. He was always willing to help anyone in need.

In 2010, the love of his life, Stella was born. She is beautiful, and shares his smile, his kindness, and his athleticism.

Nick had everything to live for, but struggled mightily with addiction.  After years of rehabilitation and relapse, he had seemingly found peace and quieted those demons.  He spent the last two years of his life working on his own recovery and working with others facing these same challenges.  He reached young men who were seemingly unreachable and helped them believe that recovery was possible.  During this time, he also met his loving and caring life partner, Raquel, with whom he shared a quiet life with their puppies in Oklahoma City.

He told the best jokes. He made the best meals. To be hugged by him was to know you had been hugged.  He will be missed terribly by his family and friends.

Nick is survived by daughter, Stella; his parents, Cindy Morgan, James Morgan, and Pamela Kimbrough; brothers, Darin Morgan (wife, Robin) and Jeremy Morgan (wife, Stephanie); life partner, Raquel Cummings; grandfather, Clyde Morgan; uncles and aunts, Mike and Pat Davis, Charlie and Denise Morgan, Donna and Stan Scott; nieces and nephews, Sam Morgan, Grace Morgan, and Julia Morgan; dozens of cousins and hundreds of friends.

The family will be receiving visitors at Craddock Funeral Home, 525 S. Commerce Street, Ardmore, OK, 73401, on Monday, January 3, 2022, from 6-8 p.m. Services in memory of Nick will be held Tuesday, January 4, 2022, 2:00 PM at St. Philip's Episcopal Church, 516 McLish Ave. SW, Ardmore, OK 73401 with Father Mike Stephenson officiating.
