Norma Lee
Carroll
Sep 8, 1935 — Oct 24, 2023
Norma Lee Carroll was born September 8, 1935 to Georgia (Duggar) and K.B. Tate in Cyril, OK. She passed from this life on October 24, 2023 at the age of 88.
Norma was a graduate of Cyril High School in the class of 1953. She remained a proud Cyril Pirate for her entire life. For many years, Norma and some of her classmates rode in the Cyril homecoming parade, calling themselves "The Cyril Ya-Yas". Upon graduation she attended the Oklahoma College for Women. On August 26, 1955 she married James L. Carroll in Cyril, OK. From this marriage they had 3 daughters, Cindy, Melany, and Gina. Norma loved working at Ardmore OB-GYN, where she worked for Dr. Becker and Dr. Snedegar. She and her co-workers, including the doctors, were very much a family.
Norma was a very talented woman and played the piano and sang beautifully. Norma's true passions were her Savior, her family, and extending the gift of hospitality. She loved to entertain and planned to the very last detail. Norma was an amazing cook and shared that gift with many, many people. Food was definitely her love language.
Norma was preceded in death by her parents K.B. and Georgia Tate; and her husband James L. Carroll.
She is survived by her daughter Cindy Huddleston of Ardmore, Melany Pattison of Norman, and Gina Quary of Ardmore; brother Roger Tate of Ft. Smith, AR; sister Darla Stas and her husband Ray of Bartlesville, OK; grandchildren Ryan Huddleston of Oklahoma City, Callie Pollard and her husband Chase, Clay Pattison and his wife Tori of Plano, Nicholas Pattison and his wife Nicki of Norman, Molly Pattison of Dallas, Micah Quary of Oklahoma City, and Joy Quary of Oklahoma City; and great grandchildren McRae Pollard, Carson Pollard, and Hudson Pattison.
Norma's family would wish to express their gratitude to all the friends and loved ones who have reached out to them. They also want to thank Ashley, Sonya, and the people of Cross Timbers Hospice.
