Ray Lee Laird was born January 11, 1964 to Katherene Jeanette Baker and Johnnie Lee Laird in Bethany, OK. He passed from this life on February 9, 2022 at the age of 58.

Ray was a graduate of Dickson High School in the class of 1982. Upon graduation he attended Southern Tech where he learned to become a machinist.  On July 22, 1983 Ray married Johnna Pike in Ardmore, OK. From this marriage they had two sons, Ross Lee and Alex Logan. Ray began his career in the jewelry business in 1983 and in 1991 became the owner of Gold N Designs of Ardmore. He was a member of the Maranatha Freewill Baptist Church for 39 years and taught Sunday School there for the last 8 years.

While Ray took great pride in his talent for creating unique custom jewelry, he also, at a young age, while helping at the racetrack, developed a talent for photography and later videos. He was an invaluable part of the team and loved helping on the family's dragsters and still found time to produce very unique photographs and videos at the races.

Ray was preceded in death by his grandparents, Molly Matilda and Raymond Laird  and Freeman and Pat Baker.

He is survived by his wife Johnna Laird; sons Ross Laird and his partner Brittanie Trent and Alex Laird and his wife Taylor Rinke; parents Katherene Baker, Johnnie Laird and his wife Susan; brother John Michael Laird; Aunt Donna Carroll ,  husband Jim & their children: Aunt Mary Frances Whatley & her daughter; Uncle Joe Baker, wife Karen & their children and numerous cousins.

A Memorial Service is scheduled for Tuesday, February 15 ^th at 2:00 p.m. at the Maranatha Freewill Baptist Church with Br. Leroy Holman officiating.
