A memorial service for Reuben Walls is scheduled for October 5, 2024 at the Craddock Memorial Chapel.

Reuben Walls was born October 3, 1926 to Laura and Nathan Walls in Chickasaw Co, Mississippi. When he was 12, his dad died at the age of 35 and he immediately became "a man". He helped his mom take care of his siblings. That's when he developed that "take charge" character! When he was 16, he left home and vowed to never pick cotton again! Shortly afterword, he joined the armed forces and ultimately the United States Air Force, where he spent 30 years active and Reserves, retiring as Senior Master Sargant.

Arizona was his home, having been at Luke Air Force Base for 10 years. After retirement he worked in several businesses including air conditioning, but his love was buying and selling air planes, eventually establishing tours of the Grand Canyon and Sedona.

Rueben would tell you the biggest and best accomplishment of his life was being a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for 63 years, one day at a time, and tell you God is the key to a happy, joyous and free life! Oh, and marrying Dianna!

Rueben was preceded in death by his parents Nathan and Laura Walls; step father William Turman; brother O.C. Turman; brother Johnny Turman; brother Calvin Walls; sister Nell Knox; nieces Linda Hoskinson; nephew Dusty Walls; and brother in law Delbert Lang; precious sister-in-laws Polly Walls and Charlotte Turman.

He is survived by his wife Dianna Walls; children Margaret Walls Romero and her husband Dan, Pat Walls Wilson and her husband John, Adam Dean and his wife Gabriela, and Eric Dean and his wife Amy; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; sister Joy Lang; numerous nieces, nephews, so many friends all over the country, and special friends Heather, Brandi, Sarah (bone head), Misty, and Chaplain Matt, all from Cross Timbers Hospice.
