Rocky Dale Smith was born January 8, 1952 to G.W. and Lavera Joy in Oklahoma City, OK. He passed from this life on May 10, 2023 at the age of 71. Rocky was a long time resident of Ardmore, OK. He began working for RT's Tire Shop in 1981 and remained there until 1997. Rocky enjoyed writing poetry, fishing, and listening to George Jones and Alan Jackson. He loved all this family and they loved him in return.

Rocky was preceded in death by the parents that raised him, Jess and Betty Smith; his wife Paula Smith; grandson Sean Smith; daughter-in-law Tina Smith; 3 sisters; and 2 brothers.

He is survived by his daughters Donna Townsend and her husband Royce of Ratliff City, OK, Vangie Koenig of Ardmore, Charlesty Smith of San Antonio, TX, and Charlene Carter and he husband Dan of Ada, OK; sons Kevin Smith and his wife Sandy of Waurika, OK, Aaron Perry of Admore, Roger Smith of Oklahoma City, Justin Perry of Checotah, OK, Aaron Smith of Ardmore, and Robert Perry and his wife Mary of Healdton; 38 grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren.
