Ronald Cavner was born January 22, 1944 to Ada Faye (Tynes) and R. B. Cavner in Dickson, OK. He passed from this life on October 27, 2021 at the age of 77.

Ron attended Dickson public schools, graduating in the class of 1962. Upon graduation he enrolled at Murray State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. On January 8, 1972 Ron married Edna Fike in Herst, TX. He began working at Vought Aerospace in Grand Prairie, TX as a quality manager where he remained until his retirement in 1998.

Ron worked with the church to build the AG building at the Baptist Children's home. He and Edna also went on a mission trip to Talkeetna, Alaska to help build a church. Ron enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, working with is brothers, Larry and Dwight, on multiple projects.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Ada and R.B. Cavner; sisters Ellen McCabe and Jerry Tinder; and brother Harvey Earl Cavner.

He is survived by his wife Edna Cavner; daughter Lara McCollum; brothers Dwight Cavner and his wife Mary Beth and Larry Cavner; sister June Elisee; brother-in-law Norwood Tinder; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, October 30 ^th at 11:00 a.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Interment will follow at Young Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6 to 7:00 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home.

Michael Hedberg, Jason Hedberg, Jeff Tucker, Carrol Preston, Steve Wells, and Neal Cavner will serve as pallbearers.
