Ronald Lynn Hawes
Ronald Lynn Hawes was born September 24, 1934 in Saybrook, Ohio to Howard and Mae Hawes. He married Marlee Elaine Eaton on May 8, 1954 in Geneva, Ohio. They had 2 sons and 2 daughters.
Ron left this earth on September 29, 2021 at the age of 87 years old in Ardmore, Oklahoma, where he had lived since 2015. Ron was a loyal member at First Baptist Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma.
Ron served as a Sunday School Superintendent, a Junior Boys teacher, a Young Adults minister. He was active as an Outreach Minister as well as the office manager for Message of Faith World Ministries. He was an active participant with Eric Barger's Take a Stand Ministry.
Ron and his wife, Marlee attended Faith Tabernacle, Church on the Rock, Lakeshore Church, Heritage Church and First Baptist Church. They were active members wherever they attended.
Ron took great pride in telling stories of Ohio with his children and grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Ron retired in 2006 when he moved to Mckinney, Texas.
He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda Fields and husband, Joe of Van Alstyne, Texas; son, Rick Hawes and wife, Tammie of Ardmore, Oklahoma; son, Les Hawes and wife, Shellie of Anna, Texas; son-in-law, John Hilty of Garland, Texas; brother, Wes Hawes and wife, Judy of Ohio, and Mart Hawes and wife, Karen of Ohio.
Ron leaves seven grandsons, Cary Sullivent, Jeffery Pittman, Richard Hawes, Keith Eggenberg, Dakota Hawes, Dallas Hawes, and Jeb Hawes. He leaves five grandaughters, Faith Hilty, Heather Crouse, Alecia Sullivent, Haley Eggenberg, and Gracelin Hawes. He had 13 great grandsons, 5 great grand daughters, and 5 great, great grandchildren.
Ron is preceded in death by his wife, Marlee Eaton Hawes; daughter, Pamela Hawes Hilty; brother, Howard Hawes; parents, Howard and Mae Hawes.
Memorial services for Ronald will be Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 2:00 at the First Baptist Church in Ardmore, Oklahoma with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating.
