Obituary

Sally Pica was born November 3, 1937, in Fort Worth, Tx. to Milam and Jonne (Hightower) Spivey.  She passed this life on September 5, 2022, in Ardmore.

Sally graduated from Carter Riverside High School in Fort Worth and attended college at North Texas State University.   One of her first jobs was a flight attendant with American Flyers.  That is where she met her husband Anthony (Tony) Pica, who was a chief flight engineer for American Flyers.  She and Tony were married on April 4, 1962 in Juarez, Mexico.

After the death of Tony, she re-entered the workforce as a secretary for Wallace and Bickford, Attorneys, and spent the majority of her work career working for L.W. Biddick and L.W. Biddick Jr where she was employed upon entering retirement.

Sally was a faithful member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Ardmore.

She is survived by daughter, Sabra Emde, and husband, Don, of Ardmore; son, Joseph A Pica and wife, Karen, of Edmond; granddaughters, Isabella Pica of Edmond, Maggie Emde of Oklahoma City and Abby Emde of Ardmore; grandson, Nicolas Pica of Edmond; sisters, Judy Howard of Granbury, TX, Diane Belew of Austin, TX and brother Pat Spivey of San Marcus, TX, 2 nieces and 5 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Tony and one nephew.

The family would like to express their appreciation for the staff at The Suites at Elmbrook, Cross Timbers Hospice, and  Ideal Home Care who helped care for Sally for years.
