Sharon Yvonne Claytor

Sharon Yvonne Claytor, 76, of Ardmore, Oklahoma, passed away on August 5, 2026. She was born on August 2, 1950 to Charles Henri Claytor and Helen Faye Meredith Claytor.

Sharon was a devoted member of St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Ardmore. Known for her charitable spirit, she volunteered often and gave generously of her time and resources to support her church and those in her community.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Helen, and her brothers David and Charlie. She is survived by her brother Paul Claytor and her children: Michael Sweeten and his wife Ann-Marie; Bobbi Hawkins and her husband Shawn; Meredith Varner and her husband Colt; and Katie Rutledge. She was also blessed with her grandchildren Matthew, Robby, Meghan, Joshua, Teagan, Trevor, Bryce, and Lucy; and her great-grandchildren Corbin, Charles, Lorelai, and Camila.

A family led memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Ardmore. A celebration of life will be arranged for a future date when the family will welcome visitation from friends and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the St. Philip’s Discretionary Fund, the Ardmore Soup Kitchen, or the Grace Center of Ardmore.
