Shelvia Jane White was born May 7m, 1937 to Selma (Taliaferro) and Ned Hammett in Deese, OK. She passed from this life on July 27, 2023 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 86.

Shelvia "Jane" White graduated from Lone Grove High School in the class of 1955(?) as Salutatorian.  In 1959 she married William White in Durant, OK. Jane worked at the Court Clerk office for 27 years as Head Duty Court Clerk. She enjoyed playing dominoes in her free time and spending time with her family.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents Ned and Selma Hammett; husband William White; brother Eddie Hammett; and son Charles Ragland.

She is survived by her daughter Sherri White of Yukon, OK; son Billy White and his wife Kim of Kingston, OK; brother Warren Hammett and his wife Dorenda of Ardmore; grandchildren Jason Ragland, Jennifer Fulmer, Bo White, Max White, and Nick White; and 6 great grandchildren.

Graveside services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 1st at 11:30 a.m. at Lone Grove West Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Craddock Funeral Home.
