Shirley Belle West was born January 27, 1935 to Alexander Thomas Butler and Ola Belle (Hall) in Fox, OK. She passed from this life on August 9, 2023 at the age of 88.

Shirley was a graduate of Dickson High School in the class of 1953. On June 6th 1955 she married L.D. West in Ardmore, OK. They were married for 57 years until L.D.'s passing in 2013.

Shirley was a homemaker until her children started school. She then began working at a local physician's office in the billing department. Upon her retirement Shirley and L.D. enjoyed traveling together. She was a Sunday school teacher at Mary Niblack Baptist Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church. Shirley also led a Bible study at the Village Apartments. Shirley loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents Alexander and Ola Butler; and husband L.D. West.

She is survived by her son Stacey Don West and his wife Fran of Ardmore; daughter Shelly Williamson and her husband Cary of Ardmore; grandchildren Sarah Lee and her husband Greg of Edmond, Leah Cunningham of Ardmore, and Natalie Paige Davis and her fiancé Matt Schultz; and great-granddaughter Chloe Paige Cunningham.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, August 14th at 2:00 p.m. at the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert Wilson officiating.

Honorary pallbearers are Eddie Huebsch, Tommy Carter, Kevin Hunt, Joe David McReynolds, Kenny Vineyard, Ken French and Tommy Pittman.
