Our beloved, husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, and brother, Stanley Lynn Baldwin, broke his earthly chains and joined Jesus on December 11, 2022. The memorial service honoring his life will be at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, the 7 ^th day of January, 2023, at the Craddock Funeral Home chapel and officiated by Tom Riley and Matt Benedict.

Stanley was born in Enid, Oklahoma on March 21, 1944 to Robert Lynn Baldwin and Mildred Lorene Baldwin (nee Bullard). Stan was an extremely enthusiastic and energetic child, so much so, that he wore holes in his leather soled baby shoes. By two years old the doctor prescribed medication to slow him down and the family always teased him that the medication did not take effect until he grew older.

In 1962, Stan graduated from Enid High School. He moved on to graduate with a B.A. in Industrial Education from Northwestern State College in Alva, Oklahoma in 1966. He returned to Enid and began teaching mechanical drafting and football at Waller Junior High School, where he taught for 4 years. It was during his summers off from teaching that he took up golf and gin rummy, which he loved his entire life.  It was during one of these summers that he met Carol Ann Shafford and they married in 1969.  Stan always said that marrying Carol Ann was the best decision he ever made in his life.  He often reminded Carol Ann of this, even during their arguments.

In 1970, Stan accepted a job with the pharmaceutical company Lederle that prompted a move to Oklahoma City where he lived for 4 years with Carol Ann and his son, Thomas.  In 1974, the Baldwins moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma when Stan took a job with Wampole Laboratories. Stan and Carol Ann's lives took a dramatic change when they established Baldwin's Restaurant and Drive-In in 1976, which is still in operation today.

Stan played golf for recreation and exercise, which turned into a lifelong form of enjoyment. He loved the complexity of the game, but mostly the comradery with his golfing buddies. Stan loved puzzles and problem solving, and because of this he always gave great advice.  He was always a loving, kind, and fair person to everyone.  This core attribute is one his family misses most of all, in addition to his sarcastic and onery sense of humor.

Stan was an avid movie lover.  He enjoyed watching movies with his family, especially with Carol Ann and his granddaughter, Ireland.  He usually selected the movie for everyone to watch, but this responsibility was temporarily suspended when he chose the movie, "The Shape of Water."  Stan also enjoyed purchasing properties.  He loved planning, remodeling, and construction and involved the entire family in the process.

Stan was predeceased in death by his father, Robert Baldwin; his mother, Mildred Baldwin; and his brother, Bobby Baldwin.  He is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Baldwin of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Carey Baldwin of Ardmore; granddaughter, Ireland Baldwin, in college at Columbia University in New York City; sister, Kathy Pettit, of Hewitt, Texas; sister-in-laws and husbands, Susan and Paul Eagan of Ardmore, Peggy and David Kirkpatrick of Ardmore, Vicki and Andre Orluc of Geyssans, France, Pam and Tim McConville of Wasilla, Alaska; and a whole host of nephews and nieces: Steven and Allison Cochran, Lara Burnside, Amy and Dennis Flanagan, Julie and Mark Kepki, John and Wendy Kirkpatrick, Benjamin Orluc, Nathan Orluc, Emily and Greg Lee, Elizabeth and Joe Fine, and Emanuel McConville.  Stan was loved and will be greatly missed by all.
