Steve or Peep as his grandkids called him, had a love for whoever he met, family, deer hunting, woodworking and fishing but most of all, he loved Jesus.

The old Steve that many knew was gone when he gave his heart to Jesus. He was made new and he just wanted to share that love with others. He made people feel special and blessed to know him and in a second he'd pray over whoever needed it.

Steve didn't want a funeral, he wanted a celebration service. He said he wanted people to dress in bright colors and love on each other and rejoice because of the great things God has done and will continue to do if we just let Him.

He had a smile and excitement that will carry on when we think of him and a calm about him that was all because of His Savior.

Steve was born January 19, 1968 in Brunswick GA to Marsha and Jack Corn Jr. He passed away on January 16th, 2022.

He and his family moved to Lone Grove, OK when he was in third grade.

He attended Lone Grove Schools through his Junior year and never returned to the Class of 1988. Instead, he married his high school sweetheart, Lee Anne Marion on Sept 18th, 1987 and went to work full time and later received his GED.

In 1989 Lee Anne gave birth to their only child, Kyle.

He worked for his stepdad, John Thomas Singleton at Basic Glass Products for several years and then onto construction. Later he worked for King Aerospace where he built interiors for corporate jets. In 1998 he moved his family to Valley View, Texas where he worked for two other companies in the aerospace field.

In 2000 Steve was ordained as a minister. He loved kids, youth and senior adults. He joked that he liked the older people because after cleaning up after the youth and paying for their meals when they blew their money, it was nice that the "Keenagers" did those things for him.

He served at the First Baptist Church of Valley View as Youth Minister for 6 years and as Associate Pastor for 4 years.

In 2007 he moved to Possum Kingdom Lake where he started work on a ranch and worked as part time Youth Minister at First Baptist Church. Steve also served on the Possum Kingdom Lake Fire and EMS as Fire Lieutenant and EMT. Steve and Lee Anne started Awesome Possum Landscaping in 2011 and worked alongside each other until 2013 when they moved back to Ardmore.

In 2014 Steve began working for IFS Powder Coatings building a conference table and finishing out the conference room as the new company was taking shape. He was instrumental in equipment set up for the new machinery, had several positions within the company but his last position was in the lab.

He and Lee Anne enjoyed hunting and fishing together, spending time with friends and family and serving at Rawhide Cowboy Church of Carter County as the Children's Ministers.

Services for Steve will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022, 2:00PM at Rawhide Cowboy Church, 1405 Gene Autry Road, Ardmore, OK with his buddy and Pastor, Trent Daniel of Rawhide officiating.

Visitation with family at the funeral home will be Friday the 21st from 7-8 P.M.

Steve was preceded in death by his biological father, Jack Corn Jr., his dad, John Thomas Singleton who adopted him early in his life and a nephew Brent Mark Marion.

He is survived by wife, Lee Anne, son Kyle(Shanda) grandchildren Brent or Noodle as he was named from his Peep, Maddy, John and Benny Singleton, Mother Marsha Dykes(Wayne), sisters Stacey Fryman and Erin Arnot, step sisters Jackie Bennett, Shawn Brown and Angela Blevins, step brothers Dallas Lee, Kelly Lee and Robby Corn(Wendi), brother-in-law Mark Marion (Aylisa), mother-in-law Peg Evers and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Troy Calhoun, John Shirley, BJ, Casey McCollum, James Tucker and Billy Martin. Honorary bearers are Blair Culley, Noodle Singleton, John Musshafen and Calvin Beames.
