Sue Carol Mann was born September 20, 1937, and passed into eternal rest on January 2, 2022. If ever a fairy tale life was lived, Sue lived it. She attended Ardmore High School where she met her forever love, Earl Ray Mann. They attended school together, Earl Ray being the football defensive team captain and Sue Carol was a member of the marching band where she was a twirler and Homecoming Queen. They graduated in the summer of 1956, and immediately drove to Gainesville, Texas to exchange vows on June 1, 1956.

The following year in August, their first-born son, Ricky, arrived, soon followed by Steven, Jeffery, Melissa, and Paula. Sue and Earl started a family business, Earl Mann's Bug Shop, in 1971. Their Volkswagon restorations gained national attention and won many car shows and were featured in national magazines like Hot VW. Their cars were considered the best of quality in the southern United States and have many loyal customers, many who became like family members to the Manns.

Sue and Earl were never apart in their sixty-five years of marriage. Sue struggled with health issues later in life and set the example for us all in her demonstrated strength through her battles with cancer and the resulting chemotherapy.

She loved church, singing her hymns and her Bible and was a member of the McLish Avenue Church of Christ for many years.

In her final days, Sue was surrounded by her family, friends, and loved ones, whose visits in the last few days were filled with laughter, love, and sharing so many stories with her friends and family. She was an amazing mother, wife, cook and homemaker, and found tremendous pleasure and satisfaction in those life choices.

Sue Carol now resides in heaven with her beloved mother, Pauline Austin Griffin (Big Nanny), her father, WA Austin, WB Griffin and brother, Mitchell Austin.

Sue is survived by her immediate family, husband, Earl Ray Mann; sons, Ricky Mann and wife, Joh, Steven Mann and wife, Toni and Jeffery Mann; daughters, Melissa Conway and Rodney Hartman and Paula Mann Zulli and wife, Karen; grandchildren, Tyler Mann, Riley Mann and wife, Courtney, Justin Mann, Aaron Mann, Savanna Mann; great-grandchildren, Cole Ray Duke, Brinley Mann, Lilli Mann, Brayson Mann, Brody Mann and her Best Friend Mary Louise Pruitt, many cousins, extended family and friends too numerous to mention.

Services provided by Craddock Funeral Home and will be held at the McLish Avenue Church of Christ, at 10:00 am, Saturday, January 8, 2022 with pastors Joseph Harris and Ben Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Family visitation will be Friday, January 7, 2022 from 6:00 pm-7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will by Tyler Mann, Riley Mann, Randy Raines, Terry Waller, Don Yeager and Ernie Woodruff. Honorary bearers will be James Meece, Dr. Tom McCulloh, Glen James, Vernon Castleman, Randall Weldon, Ronnie Byrd, Cecil Hargrove and Chock Aldridge.
