If you are reading this, I have apparently moved to my heavenly home. I've looked forward to this all of my life, but I hate that I won't be around for the events with my family I leave behind. I do, however, look forward to seeing all of you again in this place where there are no more tears, no more pain or sorrow.

I was blessed to have been born to two amazing parents, Charlie Harold "Doc" and Elvie Lillian Edwards West on Thanksgiving day, November 25, 1948. I was welcomed by equally amazing sisters, Charlene West Rogers and June West Harris. They raised me to be very spoiled as the baby of the family. The most important thing they did was to introduce me to my very best friend, My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I married the love of my life, Curtis Moore, on December 20, 1969. From that marriage we welcomed a daughter, Jaree Michelle Moore Grant and a son, Curtis Scott Moore. I thought my life was perfect but a few years later, with the birth of their children, I found a new love. Being a Mimi to Maranda, Katie, Alex, Cody and Tyler brought so much joy to our lives and I just knew life couldn't get any better than that but I didn't realize that life would be even richer with the addition of my great grands, Keelyn, Lily, Ayden, Jake, Avery, Aubrey, Charlie and Jaxon.

Being a stay at home mom, most of my life, was my dream job. I did however work off and on at various Jobs, Memorial Hospital, First National Bank, Samedan, Stiefel Nicolas and The Living Word Bible and Book Store. After a few months at these jobs, I always returned to my dream job. Raising my kids and being a homemaker and wife to Curtis was the most fulfilling job of all.

I enjoyed working in my church as a Sunday School Teacher, children's church leader, ladies ministry leader, choir member and various other areas of ministry. One of my favorite ministries was playing the piano and teaching a class for the local nursing homes.

I was blessed with so many dear friends. Some that I had were my Dickson gals who I started school with and continued to have friendships with throughout my life. As a young girl at Lighthouse Assembly of God church, I met my very dear friends, Betty Helms Johnson and Joyce Rogers Dunham. Later in my mid-life crisis years, I met Kathy Campbell and we laughed our way through this life without all of them, besides, they were cheaper than a counselor!! I never achieved a lot of awards or made a lot of money but my life has been so blessed with a heart full of love, family and friends. My family is my greatest accomplishment. I couldn't ask for more.

As one lady wrote, and I totally agree, I was born; blinked, and it was over. No buildings were named after me; no monuments erected in my honor, but I did have the chance to know and love each and every one of friend as well as my family members. How much more blessed can a person be" This is not goodbye but "See you later!"

Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents, Doc and Elvie, sisters, Charlene, June and Patricia, brothers in law, Bob Harris and Charles (Chuck) Rogers.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis Moore, daughter Jaree Grant and husband, Terry, son, Scott Moore and wife Jennifer, Grandchildren, Maranda Laymance and husband, Keegun, Katie Barnard and husband, Richard, Alex Stubbs and husband Greg, Cody and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Keelyn, Lily, Ayden, Jake, Avery, Aubrey, Charlie and Jaxon, brother in law, Robert Moore, sisters in law, Helen Davidson and Arzella Jones and her constant, loyal companion, Hannah.
