Thomas Allen Holley was born October 31, 1943 and he gently passed from this earth August 31, 2024.

Tommy was a lifelong resident of Ardmore, Oklahoma. In fact, the only time he lived away from home was when he served his country in the United States Air Force, stationed in San Antonio, Texas. Tom was an aircraft mechanic and shared many stories of the flight deliveries he made across the world during the Vietnam War. When his service in the military ended he returned home, eventually finding his way to the Michelin Tire plant where worked from 1970 till he retired in 2005. He was part of building the plant from the ground up and finished his career leading the maintenance department. When he wasn't working at the tire plant he "worked" with two of his best friends, Jackie Bean and Robert Paschall. These three amigos worked hard and played even harder…living lives full of fun adventures. Tommy's work ethic can definitely be seen in his hard working sons.

Tommy also knew the power of friendship and giving to others. It was like he was born knowing life is better shared; but it wasn't just his friends and family he gave to, it was anyone in need. Sharing was his love language and we are so grateful he shared all he had with us. His gifts could be extravagant yet meaningful and always fulfilled a tangible need.

As Tommy stepped into the roll of PaPa, his fridge was packed with snickers, soda pops and Yoohoos. In his later years he would load up his ATV we affectionately named the "snack wagon" and drive around the family acreage delivering treats to not only family but all the pets. The dogs would jump for joy at the sound of his arrival, knowing he was packing a multitude of treats.

An avid outdoorsman, Tom loved to fish and hunt, another love he passed on to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren….from the well stocked family pond to Lake Fork you might say fishing was Tom's first love. We are certain our best memories with Tom were created on or by the water.

Tom would want us to take the time here to express special appreciation to his caring sons…Randal and Robert Holley who did an exemplary job caring for their father, especially these last two hard years. Tom's expressions of thankfulness for his boys was shared with them many times.

The family would like to express a special thank you to the compassionate, hardworking staff of the Ardmore Veteran's Center, their work caring for Veteran's like Tom often goes unnoticed…we noticed and we are thankful for your service.

Preceding Tom in death were his parents J.L. & Ruth Holley. Those left to carry on the best of Tom include children Randal Holley and wife, Lisa; Robert Holley and wife, Chaundra; grandchildren, Sawyer Holley-Wall and Brice Maggert; Paige Holley-Ramirez and husband, Isaac; Pryce Holley and wife, Destiny; Mason Holley; great grandchildren, Baylee Wall; Jase and Emi Ramirez, Lex and Ali Holley. Tom's siblings Margaret Holley-Greene, Joe Holley, Bobby Holley and LaDene Gilbert; Gary Davis and wife, Karla. Some of Tom's best year's given to his partner-Betty Mason, her children and grandchildren.

Friends and Family are welcome to join us in honoring Thomas Holley's contribution to this life Monday, September 9th at 10AM at the Ardmore Veteran's Cemetery, 1555 Myall St, Ardmore-OK. Thank you Tommy for all you gave to this Nation, to your family and friends, your giving spirit will not be forgotten.
