TJ Melton was born January 3, 1933, in Tulsa, OK to Glenn Edward and Ruth Lenore (Huthinson) Melton.  He passed from this life on October 19, 2021, at the age of 88 in an Oklahoma City hospital. TJ was in the U.S. Navy for 3 years and earned his GED while in the Navy. He was retired from the Oil and Gas industry where he worked for Sun Oil/Sunoco for   32 years.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Dan Patman and Rev. Hunter Patman Fountain officiating.  Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ardmore.  The family will host a visitation on Friday evening at the Craddock Funeral Home from 5-7 pm.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Kevin Hutchinson, Mark Aaron Melton,  Josuha Buck, Dylan Alvizo, Gary Lette, and Tim Hill.

TJ was survived by his wife, Patsy, of the home in Marietta; Son, Dr. Mark Melton and his wife, Cathy, of Ardmore; Daughter, Debbie McDaniel and her husband, Dale, of Berryhill, OK; Grandchildren, Kevin Hutchinson and his wife Keely, Scott Brumley, Mark Aaron Melton and wife Lauren, Melissa Melton, Maribeth Buck and husband Joshua, along with 12 Great Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Ruth Melton, wife Sterlene Melton, Brother, David Joe Melton, Son Mike Melton, Daughter, Kathy Melton, Grandchildren, Christy Hutchinson, Jeremy Whittle, and Kerrie Whittle.
