Tommie Lynn Morris of Ardmore, Oklahoma was born Sunday April 2, 1933, in Krum, Texas to William Thomas and Bessie (Lambert) Campbell and died Thursday September 14, 2023, in Ardmore at the age of 90 years, 5 months and 12 days.

Tommie met the love of her life, Thomas Otis Morris, at a sno-cone stand where she was working and they were married on July 5, 1951, in Gainesville, Texas, and shortly thereafter moved to the San Antonio area where he was stationed at Randolph Air Force Base. She was a homemaker who raised their four boys, Raymon "Ray" Estle (adopted-oldest), Thomas Grant, Ross Major, and Aaron Lynn, while Otis worked in the oil field. Home for the most part was in Jefferson County, where she was an active member of the Ryan Church of Christ, as well as being an active volunteer during her son's school and FFA activities with Ryan Public Schools. Tommie raised and sold parakeets and finches while living in Sugden, Oklahoma. She and Otis moved to Crowder, Oklahoma, in 1988, where they owned a local convenience store near Lake Eufaula. They eventually began traveling to fairs and airshows where they sold their famous roasted ears of corn; to which she was so excited to have sold some to Janie Fricke at the Oklahoma City Airshow. Tommie and Otis eventually moved back to Ryan, Oklahoma, in 1995. After Otis passed away in 1999, she became the unofficial mother and grandmother to so many in Ryan. Tommie was a crafter and loved to paint anything from canvases to keys. She is fondly remembered by all who received her special homemade birthday cards. These were her personal service projects for all family members as well as fellow church members. In 2014, Tommie moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma, to be closer to family. She attended the church of Christ on Merrick Drive and continued her service work by sending her homemade cards to her new church family members. She is fondly remembered by her family as "Gaga," for her famous pea salad and banana pudding during the holidays, banana ice cream during the summer, sharing her love for collecting paper dolls with her granddaughters, and allowing her grandkids to play dress up and wear it to town to get the mail. She loved her family dearly. Most importantly, she is remembered for her relationship with God and Proverbs 31:10- 31 describes her qualities the best. She instilled Godly values into her sons and their families and thankfully, we know she is rejoicing in heaven with her husband, Otis. She is already missed by so many. We love you the most Gaga. It is not goodbye but see you later. Thank you to Elmbrook Suites and Good Shepherd Hospice for caring for her during her last days. Tommie is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, and son Ray. She is survived by her sons and their wives: Grant and Kenda Morris of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Major and Alisa Morris of Bixby, Oklahoma, and Aaron and Christy Morris of Ardmore, Oklahoma. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Sean, Meghan, Holly, and Amy Morris of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Jessica and her husband, Jake Castillo of Bixby, Oklahoma; Emily Morris of Bixby, Oklahoma; Kaitlynn and her husband, Merek Hodges of Broomfield, Colorado; Mason Morris of Ardmore, Oklahoma, who is currently deployed in Djibouti, Africa; and a great granddaughter, Frankie Castillo of Bixby, Oklahoma and she is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Lois Strickland and Neoma Hagar.

Funeral services will be held at the Church of Christ on Merrick Drive at 10 am Wednesday, September 20, 2023, with Willie Sanchez officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm Wednesday at the Sugden Cemetery, South of Waurika with David Wingfield doing the committal service. Assisting as pallbearers will be Merek Hodges, Jake Castillo, Mark Wiley, Dennis Walker, Ron Benedick, and Glen Gary. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. Family has requested memorial contributions in honor of Tommie be made to the Church of Christ on Merrick Drive, 1951 Merrick Drive, Ardmore, Oklahoma 73401 for the mission work being done in Juba, South Sudan.
