Funeral services for Vanessa Jayne Mikelle Athey will be Thursday, March 25, 2021, 11:00 AM in the Craddock Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bill Black officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday evening from 6-7 PM at the funeral home.

Vanessa was born September 19, 1984 in Ardmore to Bobby Athey and Stacy Marie Cox.  She passed from this life on March 19, 2021 in Ardmore at the age of 36.

Vanessa could light up a room with her great smile. She loved her children, family and many other people's children like her own. She will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her sister Sabra Athey, paternal grandparents Francis Murphy "Mimi", James Murphy, Sonny Athey, maternal grandmother; Nancy Baker, maternal grandfather Tracy L. Cox.

She is survived by daughter, Aliza Smith; sons, Andan Rhynes and Arrett Athey all of the home; mother, Stacy Fenton and husband, Bill of Overbrook, OK; father, Bobby Athey of Foster, OK.; sisters, Erica Fenton of Overbrook, Stephanie Taliaferro and husband, Lewis of Ardmore; niece, Raynee Taliaferro; nephews, Wyatt Taliaferro, Nolan Taliaferro; bestfriends, Kylene Strader and Gaylon Rhynes.
