Warren Wiliam Martin was born April 27, 1953 to Velma (Holliman) and Willis Martin. He passed from this life on May 27, 2026 at the age of 73.

Warren was a graduate of Ardmore High School in the class of 1971. Upon graduation he enrolled at the University of Oklahoma and received a Bachelor’s degree in psychology. On June 12, 1976, he married René Boehm in Tulsa, OK. They returned home to Ardmore where he spent his career in oil production.

Warren had a love of the outdoors, especially hunting with his wife René. Their diverse adventures included elk, bear, and antelope hunting. Warren was a voracious reader of all genres. He had a highly developed, if not somewhat twisted, sense of humor. His knowledge of pharmaceuticals, guns, and gourmet food and drink was exceptional. He could, and would, expound on those topics for hours. Funny, stubborn, exasperating, and generous were terms frequently used to describe him. One of Warren’s many passions was going out of town and discovering new restaurants with friends. Each trip resulted in more “Warren Stories”: Unforgettable, pure Warren.

Warren was unique. He will never be forgotten and always missed.

Warren was preceded in death by his parents Willis and Velma Martin; son Warren Martin; father-in-law John Graham; and mother-in-law Dorothy Graham.

He is survived by his wife René Martin; and his four legged children Celty, Scarlett, and Harry.

His special friends Tom Shilling, Gary Dillard, David Flanagan, Antonio Cavallo, Steven Harris, and Bill Pretty will serve as honorary pallbearers.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 1 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oak Hall, the Ardmore Animal Shelter, Cross Timbers Hospice, or the charity of your choice.
