William "Bill" Everett Capshaw was born August 5, 1951 in Ardmore, OK to Everett Forrest

Capshaw and Iva Lou Harris. He passed from this life on September 12, 2018 in Oklahoma City, OK at the age of 67 surrounded by his family.

Bill spent the first part of his life getting into mischief with his older and younger brothers. After graduating from Ardmore High School, the last draft finally caught him and he was sent to the DMZ in Korea. Upon completing his tour he returned home and eventually attended OU.  While attending OU, he met his wife, Lori Merrill, and they were married on June 6, 1981.  After finishing school, the couple returned to Ardmore where Bill worked at his family store, Texhoma Office Supply.  He later worked at EJ where he retired in 2016.

Bill continued to serve his country as part of the Oklahoma National Guard 1245 and 1345 companies and served in operations Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Iraqi Freedom, and Enduring Freedom.  Bill retired from the Guard in 2004 as Sergeant First Class.

He is preceded in death by his parents Everett and Iva Lou Capshaw. Bill is survived by his wife, Lori; daughters, Megan Willitzer of Ardmore and husband, Joel currently stationed in South Korea; Anne Capshaw- Howard and husband, Casey of Ada, OK; Son, Evan Capshaw of Ardmore, OK; Brothers, Robert Capshaw of Edmond, OK and Phillip Capshaw and wife, Dana of Ardmore, OK; Grandchildren, Ethan Willitzer, Violet Willitzer and Seraphina Howard and other family and friends.

Services will be Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at 10:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Ardmore, OK with Rev. David Daniel officiating. Family visitation will be Monday, September 17 from 6-7 pm at Craddock Funeral Home.

In Lieu of flowers the family request donations to the following charities; Wounded Warriors, Fisher House and Folds of Honor.
