Obituary

Wilma Cupp was born November 17, 1927 to Willia (Smith) and Barrick Ginn in Chandler, OK. She passed from this life on March 14, 2018 at the age of 90.

On December 24, 1948, Wilma married Ordell Jackie Cupp at the First Baptist Church in Chandler, Oklahoma. They raised their family in Shawnee, OK, where they lived for many years. Wilma loved her Sunday School and First Baptist Church Family. Her faith helped her through the many trials in her life.  With her passing, the Thunder lost an avid fan. She considered Kevin Durant a "cupcake" after he left the team, but considered Steven Adams her favorite "LOYAL" player. Wilma had a wonderful sense of humor and could tell the best stories. She loved beautiful flowers, telling stories of all her travels, but most of all, she loved her family and spending quality time with them. Wilma will be missed but never forgotten. Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Willia and Barrick Ginn; husband Ordell Cupp; and son John Raymond "J.R." Cupp.

She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Jones and her husband David of Ardmore; son Jeff Cupp and his wife Susie of Grand Junction, CO; daughter-in-law Jamie Cupp of Norman OK; grandchildren Jeani (Cupp) and Mike Copeland, Franci (Cupp) and Brent Pittman, Trevor and Elizabeth Cupp, Cayton and Sarah Jones, Rachel and Wilson Jones, Ellie and Devin Morales, Barak Cupp, Brody Cupp, Katie (Cupp) and Trent Brady; and great-grandchildren Reese and Kai Copeland, Grant and Dean Pittman, Penelope and Adelheid Cupp, Maddie, Isaiah and Parker Jones, Hayes Jones, Sevi Morales, Sawyer, Solomon, and Remy Brady.

A Celebration of Wilma's life will be held on Saturday, March 24th at 12:00 p.m. at the Brady Chapel located on the First Baptist Church of Ardmore's campus with Barak Cupp officiating.

In lieu of flowers, Wilma would have appreciated monetary gifts to St. Jude.
