WYLENE TIBBS

Funeral services for Wylene Tibbs will be Wednesday, August 29, 2018 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church in Dickson, Oklahoma with Rev. John Hatfield officiating. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening from 6-7 PM at Craddock Funeral Home.

Wylene was born April 1, 1940 in Ardmore to Bruce McBride and Fern (Worley) McBride. She passed from this life on August 25, 2018 in Ardmore at the age of 78.

Wylene graduated from Ardmore High School in 1958. She and Jeff Tibbs were married on August 19, 1960 in Ardmore. He has preceded her in death. She enjoyed going to garage sales, collecting antiques, and spending time with her grandchildren. Wylene retired as secretary from Ardmore City Schools on June 1, 2011 after 25 years of service. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Dickson.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bruce McBride; mother, Fern Landrum; step-father, Lester Landrum; husband, Jeff Tibbs; half-brother, Kenny McBride and step-brother, Don Landrum.

Wylene is survived by her son, Creede Tibbs and wife, Penny of Dickson; daughter, Stephanie Tibbs of Durant; special family friend, Randi Baugus of Durant; half-brother, Quinton McBride; grandchildren, Cade Tibbs of Tishomingo, Bryce Tibbs, Paisley Tibbs both of Dickson, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Alan Crook, Victor Trivitt, Cary Williamson, Chris Kennedy, Greg Elliott and Cory Lofton.
